Another condo / hotel project in the works

According to a Daily Journal of Commerce article, GIS sold its property at Stewart and Minor to a Chinese-based firm, RBF Property Group, that plans to develop a condo / hotel tower on the site. GIS has had plans for a condo / hotel at the site since 2007.

The current propsal is a 440-feet tall, 42-story tower with 78 hotel rooms and 95 condominium homes.

RBF joins Continential Properties, which is also proposing a 400-ft tall condominium tower at 2nd Ave & Viginia. Combined with the Lowe and Laconia developments, the downtown area could soon have several major condo towers under development in the next few year.
