Icon coming back online?

Laconia Development appears to be taking steps to move forward on developing the tiny parcel off of Denny Way at Wall Street. Originally, Laconia planned on constructing the slim Icon Tower condominium tower on the site, though in late 2008 it was suggested they were switching the usage to an apartment building. The project has since been on hiatus.

A land use notice came out today announcing an early design guidance meeting for a 38-story tower with 310 units on the parcel at 600 Wall Street.

The meeting is set for 5:30 pm on November 5, 2013 at Seattle City Hall in the Boards and Commissions Room (L280).

It’s unknown at this point whether Laconia is planning an apartment tower or condominium. The Seattle market, however, is primed for new condo developments.
