Latest News on Insignia

There was a nice article in the Puget Sound Business Journal today about Seattle’s largest (and to-date only) condominium under construction, the Insignia.

The article provided some insight as to size and prices:

What are the asking prices at Insignia? At Insignia, prices will be in the high $400,000 range to approximately $2 million. Units range in size from 737 square feet to 2,311 square feet.

That works out to about $677 to $865 a square foot. How’s that compare to prices for new condos in other downtown Seattle towers? New condos for the past six months at Olive 8 sold for approximately $684 per square foot, and new units at 1521 Second Ave. sold for approximately $812 a foot.

Insignia will have the advantage of being the first building in the newest construction cycle in the city, filling the need for condominium homes in Seattle’s urban core. No doubt, its location will appeal to the burgeoning number of professional employees in the South Lake Union / Denny Triangle region.
