Nine Cherry Square is a recent conversion on First Hill. The 6-story brick, steel & concrete building at 905 Cherry Street, Seattle (map) includes 41 studios, one- and two-bedroom rooms. Prices range from $177,000 to $449,000.
Sales staff indicates they sold nine-units in the first six hours that homes were released for pre-sale.
Standard features include:
- Exposed brick focal wall in each unit
- Bamboo flooring in kitchen and living room
- European designed Pentco cabinets
- Stainless steel or matte chalkboard finished countertops
- Shaw woven carpet in the bedrooms
- Stainless steel appliances (most units)
- Washer and dryer (most units)
The Nine Cherry Square website, though basic, provides considerable information with floor plans, feature specs and representative views for each unit.
Nine Cherry Square is centrally located on First Hill and is within walking distance to the financial district and Seattle University. The Frye Museum is just a block away and many businesses, restaurants and cafes are just a short stroll away.

Update: Couple of notes about sales: (1) showings are by appointment only (outside of the weekend opens) and they have not been very accommodating working with buyer’s schedules, (2) there is an unpublished registration policy which may not comply with NWMLS rules.

Are there any studios still available?
What is the price range for a studio?

At this time, there are two studios available through the MLS that range in price from $177,000 (3rd flr) to $195,000 (6th flr). They are rather small - both are 311 sq ft. They do have a few 1-bedrooms ranging from $210,000 to $268,000 and starting around 475 sq ft and up.
It looks like there are 6 studios, so they will release more but they are all the same size.

I visited this weekend, nice 1969 building, very solid.
The X03 units are not very workable, but otherwise the unit plans are great.
Missed opportunity with no roof access, but they are planning a community bbq area on the south side.

Used to live here before it converted to a condo. I was disappointed to find out that there was not much of work done in the units. And to claim that there are views on some units, well for now, yes, but will be obstructed once the new building rise up on the old Capri apt lot.
Plus the neighboring apts are too noisy, dirty and very shady.
I wonder iif they revised or corrected the plumbing problems. It doesn’t seem like it since they would have to tear the whole building apart. But they didn’t. So problems will persist.
