Wallingford / Aurora Ave Condo

Posted on September 06 2007 | The Seattle Condo Blog |

Update: Per a DJC Article dated 11/27/07, this project will be an apartment complex.

Kauri Investments recently filed a land use application for a new residential project at 40th & Aurora Ave N. The proposal is for a 4-story building with 93 residential units and 103 parking spaces. While the proposal doesn’t specify the project is a condominium, most of Kauri’s other projects have been condos – Cobrizo, Carbon 56, Monique Lofts, Luminaire, Sausalito and 6th & Denny.

The Cobrizo, completed a few years ago, is a block north of the proposed site on Aurora. While living on Aurora Ave isn’t the ideal situation, Kauri designed the Cobrizo to reduce as much traffic noise as possible. I suspect they will implement a similar design feature.
