CityView Condos – Leschi

Posted January 31 2007 | The Seattle Condo Blog

CityView at Leschi Ridge is a new conversion project at corner of S. Jackson Street & 29th Avenue S (map). Unlike many other conversions the CityView building is fairly new having only been constructed in 2003. Even so, the developer made considerable upgrades to the 28 studio, one- and two-bedroom, and two-level penthouse townhomes.

CityView features include:

  • Imported designer tiles in the kitchen, bath and entry. The tiles resemble hardwood stained flooring.
  • Slab granite countertops with undermount sinks in kitchens
  • Slab marble countertops in baths
  • Stainless steel appliances
  • Stackable washer & dryer in unit
  • Parking for every unit
  • Rooftop deck
  • Third floor terrace with BBQ

Homes range in size from 448 to 1,350 square feet with prices starting in the high $100,000s. The smallest studio is 451 sq ft and is priced at $182,000.

The CityView website includes floor plates and floor plans of each unit. The homes are spacious with large floor-to-ceiling windows providing fantastic views of the city skyline, Olymplic mountains and neighborhood. A number of homes on the 3rd level have expansive entertainment sized patios.

The Grand Opening is schedule for the weekend of February 24th and homes are available for purchase now. Considering the affordable pricing for contemporary finishes, great interior space and views, I suspect these home will go fast, especially if the sales at Tobira are any indication of the demand for affordable homeownership. The only draw back, if any, would be the location.

Interesting note – CityView was originally developed as condos but the original builder felt the market was softening back in 2003 and switched the project over to apartments.

My wife and I are interested in Condo No. 508 only. Is it still available, and when can we see it? What is the price?

Interested in unit 306, is it still available? Love the website, it’s been a great tool! You mention that the location is a drawback at this property, how so? Thank you!

Anthony – thanks for the compliment. Unit #306 is under contract, though units with the same layout (#305 & 406) are available. It’s located closer to Lake Washington so a little further out than most of the other projects that we profile around the downtown core.

Hi Ben, would you happen to have pricing on 305? Sad to find that 306 is taken, I love the larger deck.
