At a third Design Review Recommendation (DRR) meeting held last Tuesday the green light was give to Vulcan LLC to develop the 44 story building to be located at 2025 5th Ave. in Belltown.

The project proposals and environmental design inclusions will see a building that in 70% more energy efficient and 50% more water efficient than the national average, and is expected to meet the Seattle 2030 District Challenge and Salmon-Safe Certification.

The Vulcan team had taken the boards feedback from the second DDR and incorporated different materials into the structures facade and refined the design at the top of the tower as well as improving the buildings 5th avenue podium.

Other concerns and recommendation brought up at last Tuesdays meeting ranged from increased traffic concerns and how the building would fit with the surrounding architecture.

The residential with commercial retail development is a collaboration between Paul Allen’s real estate group, Vulcan Inc., and architect Ankrom Moisan.
