Any idea of the pricing? It is rumored that the very top floor belongs to an eldery lady who lives there. I wonder what will happen to her home?
The top floor (the pyramid part) is leased to a half crazy old lady who surrounds herself with dirty little dogs. Her wealthy father set up a trust arrangement with LC Smith to provide for her future. Sometimes she doesn’t leave her apartment for weeks at a time. Rumor in the building is that she unplugs the single elevator that goes up to her apartment at night because she’s afraid people are going to break in while she’s asleep.
I thought it was a younger woman who lived in the penthouse….at least that’s what I recall from seeing an article about it.
I am sure it is more interesting to beleive the crazy old lady and dogs theory, but here is the truth about “The Lighthouse” at the top of the Smith Tower:

The top of the pyramid was converted to a beautiful condo to house Dale Chihuly’s former mistress. There is a fabulous DC chandelier in the center. It was featured in Seattle Homes & Lifestyles several years ago.
