Forte Condominiums – Pinehurst
The Forte Condominiums (website) is currently celebrating its grand opening in the Pinehurst neighborhood located in North Seattle.
Forte, a 4-story conversion, features 48 one-bedroom and two-bedroom homes that range in size from 564 sq ft to 1,400 sq ft for the penthouse suites. All homes surround a large light-filled central courtyard. Currently, one-bedrooms start at $194,950 and two-bedrooms at $254,950.
Other features include:
- Slab granite countertops with undermount sinks
- Choice of Maple or Cherry cabinet finishes
- Wood burning fireplace
- Large bedroom spaces
- Stainless steel appliances
- Decks or patio area, most homes
- Washer & dryer
- Garage parking
- Pet friendly, though may have some restrictions
Overall, the finish quality is above average for this price point and includes standard stainless steel appliances and stainless kitchen sinks. There were some quirks such as the location of the in-unit fire alarms within the doorway trim…just looks odd.
The building is located at the corner of NE 125th Street & Roosevelt Way NE, which can get busy during rush hour commutes. However, the homes appeared to be well insulated and traffic was not discernible with the windows closed. Fortunately, only a few units face the intersection so most homes will not be affected by traffic noise.
The location also has advantages with easy access to I-5 and is on major bus routes. It’s also close to the Northgate area which is undergoing considerable redevelopment and recently welcomed Barnes & Nobles, Bed Bath & Beyond and Stanford’s.
Forte was previously the Roosevelt Court Apartments.
Perhaps someone can explain what “A Vivid Life. By any Measure.” means and why it has all those periods.
The web designer and photographer did their best with what they had. But the ratio of pictures of the actual building to pictures of attractive young folks is a good indicator of the building’s quality.
Another indicator: renaming by flipping through a French dictionary. A ticky-tacky apt building near where I work got condofied and of course it’s now “La Reve.” Sacre bleu.
Pinehurst is going through many changes right now and promises to be an even better neighborhood in the coming years. On the horizon are the first “green” Safeway in Washington and improvements to 15th Ave and the Pinehurst business district.

We lived at Roosevelt Court for two years – in two apartments – one on the ground floor on 125th and one in a penthouse on the 4th floor – NW corner. They were great apartments. I am eager to see them as condominiums. My two apartments are still available according to the advertisement.
The condo’s themselves are great! Good prices, good ameneties, and good location
What IS an issue is the seller and his representatives! They just recently changed to what looks like their 3rd on site company because only half the units have sold in the year theyve been available.
I had been told there were seller financing and leasing options available. However beyond pressuring you right then and THERE to sign something it’s nearly impossible to get a hold of them. I literally went to meet with the new rep and he sent someone else from the office to the front to let us in, but NOT back to the office because they essentially lied and didn’t know what they were talking about when it came to seller financing and the leasing options.
Overall= Great building, TERRIBLE representation. Beware. You need to be on top of it yourself, don’t expect much help from them.
I live here now and I absolutely love this place. I’m only renting out a unit from the owner who recently moved into a larger home. Regardless, owner or renter, this is by far the best place I have ever lived and the only reason I felt compelled to add a comment. The inside is beautiful and modern looking while still maintaining that warm-home feeling. Plenty of space for all of my furniture without looking over crowded. My only complaint might be the living room. It’s a little small but not small enough to be a deal breaker. It’s definitely functional. Everything is very well insulated and my low power bills are great. Roughly $50 a month total (electric baseboard heat). I never hear the neighbors. The bus stop is right in front and goes right down to Seattle where I catch the Sounders/Seahawks/Mariners games with friends and don’t have to worry about a DD. Lastly, it’s right off I-5, just a 3 minute drive from the mall and my gym.
Imm currentyl renting out one of the two penthouse suites. This building is amazing. Its right next to grocery, freeways, roosevelt bars. There’s a bus stop right outside. I can’t hear the neighbors through these thick walls. The applianced are new. Amazing location. Great price. I woould welcome anyone to come stay at forte. Very quiet building. 100% pleased.
